  Because Howling Moon Traders does not have the overhead of commercially run retail stores our prices are the best available for new original art by Native Americans. Our inventory is always changing and we are able to speak directly with the artist if you would like a piece handcrafted to your specifications.
  The artwork we carry is purchased directly from the artists who we meet at Native American art fairs in the Southwest USA. For some artists the only way to purchase their goods is at the the art fairs. Others we have gotten to know personally and traveled to their homes it the "Four Corners" area where Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah meet.

  It has taken many years to establish working relationships with artists that live far from the cities that make purchasing and communication easier. Some are without the common conveniences of cell phones and computers, and their only address is a rural route or PO Box.
   Our Featured Artists are some of the native men and women we have come to know over the years. We carry their pottery and jewelry on this site and are able to contact them for special requests if you have them.
